Great Finds.

Happy Weekend to you! Any fun plans for the next couple days? Dustin and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary a few days early tomorrow with a day gallivanting in Fairhaven… and then maybe even a night without Wren (if I can handle it). I sure hope the weather dries up by then because we are planning on bringing our bikes. Though, I am not minding the rain today – that way I don’t feel too sorry for myself while I am stuck inside cleaning our house for yet another showing tonight. Please, for the love, BUY OUR HOUSE! Can you tell my patience is running thin?? 😉

I thought I’d share a few of my thrifting finds from this week. Don’t you just love a successful treasure hunt? Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

A Few Lovely Things.

Hello! I hope your week is going well so far. Mine has been filled with family visits (my brother and his wife and 2 daughters are moving here from Kentucky this week!), treasure hunting, and doctors appointments (Wren’s immunizations). So I just haven’t had the time to pop in here until now. I haven’t posted a few lovely things for awhile now so I feel like I could have chosen hundreds of items, but I limited myself to just these 11. Hope you enjoy.

A lovely vintage inspired print.

Some lovely hair ties… which also look pretty on your wrist – genius!

A lovely chair.

Lovely little macaroon trinket boxes.

A lovely ring.

A lovely vintage teakettle.

A lovely blanket.

A lovely burlap pouf.

A lovely vintage industrial light.

A lovely vintage dress.

A lovely DIY. (Twig Home currently has several antique wooden spools for sale at Creekside if you want to give this a try).

Let There Be Light.

I am just loving this Australian home belonging to stylist and writer, Andrea Miller and her family. Aside from the obvious killer vintage finds, I am mostly in awe of the abundance of natural light and the way it dances so gorgeously on all the white walls, ceilings and floors. I guess you always gravitate to what you don’t have. One thing is for sure, massive amounts of natural light is at the top of my wish list for our next home. I can’t wait.

I hope you are having a fabulous week so far! I am trying to enjoy this sunshine as much as possible while it lasts – you never know when the rain will return around here.

Twig Home Shop Update.

Well, I can’t believe it’s finally Friday! I thought it would never come :). A lot has changed in the past few of months for me, personally, as well as for Twig Home, and I think it is about time I pop in here with a little update for you all.

Towards the end of my pregnancy I stopped opening my little shop in Chilliwack thinking I would reopen it sometime after having Wren. But since becoming a mother, it is clear to me that I just don’t have the time to keep it open anymore. So at this point I am keeping it closed indefinitely. Also, most of you know I was previously selling vintage items out of Tracycakes Bakery Cafe. Shortly after having Wren, it became obvious that keeping all three store locations stocked was just too much work for me while getting used to being the mother of a small baby. I have since removed all my stock and will no longer be selling out of Tracycakes.

So, after all that… where can you get Twig Home vintage goodies?! So glad you asked! Let me tell you! I still have vintage items for sale at Cozy Home in Abbotsford. Go check it out! And… as of next week (July 3rd to be exact), Twig Home will have it’s very own little ‘booth’ in Creekside Country Home Decor! Besides Twig Home, there will be a few other great vintage vendors moving in as well! You really should go check it out next week! Above is a little sneak peek of a few things I’ll be bringing – including some of the treasures I brought back from Farm Chicks

Have a great long weekend and happy Canada Day! I will be busy working but I am hoping to get some relaxing in as well – I need it! See you on Tuesday!

Scout Market Recap.

Whew! What a crazy couple of weeks! I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve posted… once again. I do have good reason though… first, I was super busy getting ready for the Scout Market, and then I was super busy recovering from it :)… and then, last weekend we went on our very first road trip as a family of three to Spokane, Washington for Farm Chicks! Far too much has happened for just one post, so let’s just talk about Scout!

The market was so much work, but such a success. I absolutely loved getting to meet some of you, as well as shopping at the other talented vendors booths. Rachel and Lily always do such an amazing job organizing and hosting these markets. I love that they provide for us, as small business owners, a platform to really do what we love to do. So, thank you! And thank you to all the other amazing vendors! There was such a unique mix of products and styles – something for everyone!

If you weren’t able to make it out, or if you just didn’t spend as much time shopping as you would have liked due to the large crowds, check out Cozy Home for some more vintage items from Twig Home. Also, I forgot to mention this little interview I did with Delish Magazine right here if you’re interested!

While I didn’t have much time to shop myself, I did manage to snag this adorable vintage chair from Colleen of Vintage Home. It is for Wren’s (future) room… as it won’t quite fit in her mini closet abode right now :). She’s looking a little worried here, but I think she will love it in time! Thanks Colleen!

All these lovely photos (except the last one) are by the talented Jayme Lang, who was kind enough to snap some of my booth for me. If you’d like to see more photos from the market, go here to see literally hundreds (!) of great photos taken by Sharalee Prang.
