Ever since seeing the above kitchen with the brightly painted pocket door, I have been a little obsessed with neutral or white interiors with a pop of colour. How fun and unexpected! I think it shows personality and that you don’t take decorating too seriously. After all, your home should make you happy, right?

I hope you are having a great week so far. I can’t believe it is almost the weekend again! I spent some time this week working on my booth for the Scout Market coming up (less than a month away!). I always feel a little better after I map out what my space will look like. I usually tape out the dimensions on the floor and then do a mock set up. It is a great way to visually see what I have and what things I still need to be on the look out for. It is also encouraging when a natural theme emerges. I am excited about how it is shaping up! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty relaxing. We had another showing of our house… have I mentioned that we put our home on the market again? The size is fine for right now, but Wren is growing so fast that we would really like to get into something bigger soon. Especially before she is mobile since our small loft unit is 2 stories. We are praying that the right person comes around soon… as a one bedroom loft isn’t for everyone – it definitely has character though – right down to the vintage acorn fireplace! If you know anyone who is looking, send them my way!
Here are a few lovely things that have caught my eye on the web recently. Enjoy!
A lovely basket.
A lovely blouse.
A lovely chair.
A lovely bathmat.
A lovely lamp.
A lovely suit.
A lovely light.
Lovely vintage arrows.

Hello again! Wow, it’s been so long! I’m sorry I just dropped off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks there – and without any warning! I have been pretty busy as I slowly start to work again. Man, whoever said balancing work with kids was hard was not kidding around! And I only have one! Definitely a learning curve… one that I am sure I will never fully master.
So, I originally took some time off from blogging because I just got too busy to keep up. But then I was really enjoying spending loads of time with Wren and Dustin without the pressure to be online all the time – or at all. I want blogging to be a fun and creative outlet for me (and it has been!) but I was feeling a bit guilty (when I wasn’t posting regularly, and then when I was, and wasn’t spending as much time with those two people up there). So a bit of a bloggy break was in order!
I thought I would include a couple of pictures so you would believe that I am still alive – as well as to see first hand how I was lured away from my computer so easily. I mean, look at those cheeks! I didn’t even stand a chance.

On that note, I have been a mother for almost 4 wonderful months now! And every day gets better and better. I continue to learn new things about this beautiful creature who is my daughter. Like how she is strong and independent. She has a mind of her own already (and she isn’t afraid to speak it!)… Can a 4 month old have a temper?! Cause I think this one does
. She is curious and likes to learn and discover new things all the time (a little too fast for this mama). She has been holding her head up unassisted from the moment she was born and is now rolling over. It’s hard to believe sitting up and crawling are right around the corner. I’m sure this won’t be the first time I want time to slow down, but as much as I want her to stay this way forever, I am so eager to discover the person she is and becomes as she grows.
I am feeling ready to start blogging again starting Monday, although I may take a day off here and there and you may see a few more personal posts in the future. My life is so changed and consumed with motherhood and all that entails, that this blog will inevitably change as well. Different, but hopefully better and more honest. Thanks to all who still read and follow me after my absence.
I thought I would just pop in to say, Happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I am planning on some thrifting… to hopefully build up some stock for the upcoming Scout Market! Oh, have I not mentioned that Twig Home will be a vendor?? Hmm, must have slipped my mind… Just kidding. The reason I am only now posting about it is because I kept waffling in my decision – Rachel and Lily can attest to this! They have been very patient with me. The truth is I just wasn’t sure if I would be able to put my all into it with a new baby and all. But now that I finally decided to go for it, I am really excited! So, mark your calendars and I hope to see you all there!

I am currently loving wallpaper. It has been steadily growing on me… although, at first it was just the tone on tone patterns that I felt brave enough to try. But lately I am finding myself more and more attracted to some of the busy and colourful options out there. And speaking of options; it seems they are never-ending these days! If you can afford it, there is just about anything you could dream up! When we finally do move to a bigger and more permanent house, I would love to put some in Wren’s nursery (I have my eye on the last one in this post!). Lucky for me, Dustin recently learned how to wallpaper as part of getting his ticket in painting – hopefully I will be able to put him to work one day! How about you? Do you like wallpaper, or no?
