Bookhou At Home.

I am loving the cozy, lived-in, vintage look of the home inhabited by John and Arounna of Bookhou at Home. The metal locker baskets are my favorite! I would love to find something like those one day.

Introducing…

Wren Everly Zupancic! Our little one arrived a week ago on January 2, 2012 at 9:36pm weighing 7lbs 2oz. We were able to have her in our home like we had originally planned and wanted. So far motherhood is both the most wonderful and the most overwhelming thing I have ever experienced. I love this little lady so much. Wren and I are on our own today as Dustin went back to work. Wish us luck!

Hello Again!

Well, I am still alive… and also still pregnant. Today is the first of my 2 due dates (although I think the second one, January 1st, is more accurate).  Obviously, I guess, since still no baby today. I won’t be too surprised if I end up going overdue – I think she might just need a little more time in there. I am trying my best to be patient; although it never was one of my virtues. I just can’t wait to hold her in my arms instead of in my belly, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I thought I would pop in to say hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are rested and have full bellies from all that turkey and pie! My Christmas was pretty uneventful but full nonetheless. It has been so wonderful just taking a break and spending some much needed time with family and friends. My blogging schedule probably won’t go back to ‘normal’ for a while as I spend most of my time cuddling my daughter (hopefully soon!) and trying my best to get the hang of being a first time mommy. But I will be popping in from time to time and before long I should have a new schedule figured out.

I just thought I’d share with you this gorgeous Japanese home that has been inspiring me lately. It’s warm, simple and unexpected. Just the way I like it.

A Few Lovely Things.

Good morning! It’s been awhile but I can finally say that the nursery is pretty much done… all it needs now is a baby! Which we hopefully won’t have to wait too long for. I have also managed to cross off some other things that have been on my list for quite sometime. I now have a cute little office nook at home – hooray for no more crafts at the kitchen table! My car is finally de-cluttered and now has room for a car-seat and a stroller. I have also been a laundry-cleaning maniac. It feels like I have washed absolutely everything in my house that can be washed – couch included.

Really all that’s left for today is gift-wrapping and a trip to the thrift store to drop off the fruits of my labors. Also the job of keeping the house clean and resting. Who knew getting rest would be the most difficult thing on my list to accomplish? I think I can now finally indulge in some guilt-free napping though :). Here’s a few lovely things for you on this last Monday before Christmas…

A lovely tree. Makes me a little sad we don’t have one this year.

A lovely extension of vintage photos.

A lovely last minute gift guide (15 gifts for $15 or less!).

A lovely wedding dress. Don’t you think the bride looks so pretty and effortless?

A lovely Spring 2012 collection. (Lots of outfit inspiration!)

A lovely little day-timer.

Quiet Around Here.

Good morning! I thought I’d just pop in to say hi and assure you that our little lady has not arrived yet. I am just busy getting some last minute things done before she does decide to make her grand entrance. This is a warning that things might be a little quiet over here for the next couple of weeks… but I will be sure to let you know when our family of 2 becomes a family of 3!
