Design Slump.

Have you ever been in a design slump? I think I am experiencing one right now. It is not for lack of ideas or inspiration… I almost have too many ideas! I am going to blame it on the fact that our place is for sale (and has been for what feels like a loong time), so I feel as though to make any changes right now would be a waste of time and money. But I am so bored with everything when I look around our place! I would normally just rearrange the furniture to give it a fresh look, but our house is so small that everything is already in the only place it fits. I think the only solution is to add some fresh pops of colour with inexpensive things, a coat of paint, or items that can move with us when the time finally comes.

I am in love with these gorgeous vintage rugs. Photo from Loom via Frolic

Any of these brightly coloured throws would add new life to a room. Via Gingham and Watercolors

Here’s another example of how bright cushions liven up a space. Via Nest Decorating

Okay, well, I am already feeling better. Time to go brighten things up! I also just made the decision to repaint my dining room table! It is black right now. I’ll be sure to take some before and after shots to share with you. Have a great day!
