Animal Instincts.

Lonny via This is Glamorous

Lately I have really been gravitating towards anything animal print. Mostly leopard print and mostly in clothing and fashion. But I am also quite smitten with animal prints used (sparingly) in interiors as well. What do you think? Too wild and crazy for you? I might start off with just a stool or a pillow and who knows where I’ll end up?!

Ironing Day.

I was at a little antiques store on Saturday and I spotted a cute vintage ironing board which just so happened to be 50% off! It was cheap. I debating on getting it and eventually decided to leave it… partly due to the fact that there is absolutely nowhere in my house it would fit and partly because our car was already pretty full of garage sale and Craigslist finds. I have since found these photos of how to make an antique ironing board functional and beautiful. They look great in a narrow entryway, as a bedside table, and even outside on the porch! I am now wondering if it would still be there if I were to go back to snag it… hmm.

Farm Chicks… Here We Come!

The Farm Chicks

Have I mentioned that I am going to The Farm Chicks show? I am going with my mom and sister-in-law (who is flying all the way from Texas!). I am so looking forward to a girls weekend of shopping and junking. This will be our first time at The Farm Chicks show, so I am not really sure what to expect… I will hopefully bring some treasures home for myself and for Twig Home! Have any of you gone before and want to give us some tips?

Also, check out this video from last years show to give you an idea of what all the fuss is about.

Happy Friday.

Cheers for the weekend! I realize I told you that I’d have a home tour for you today, however, I think I’ve bitten off more than I can chew… I am busy trying to get ready for a weekend away with my husband in Seattle, so unfortunately that home tour will have to wait until Monday. But don’t worry, it’s worth the wait!

What does the weekend hold for you? We are going to spend it thrifting, flea marketing and estate sale-ing… with lots of relaxing thrown in too! I am hoping to get some new goodies for The Old School Market coming up! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Mason Jar Meals

I have been longing to go on a picnic lately, but with all this rain we’ve been having, it’s made it pretty impossible… alas, I still can’t help having picnics on my mind. I saw this awesome idea recently (which doesn’t help my picnic-obsessed mind) and I thought it was pretty genius. I love mason jars, so the more ways to use them, the better. This is also a great way to recycle – don’t have to use any of those plastic bags/containers and you can buy vintage mason jars! It also apparently keeps your lunch from getting soggy. I can’t wait to give this a try!

Stay tuned tomorrow I am going to post a tour of my mom’s lovely home!
