Great Finds.

Happy Weekend to you! Any fun plans for the next couple days? Dustin and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary a few days early tomorrow with a day gallivanting in Fairhaven… and then maybe even a night without Wren (if I can handle it). I sure hope the weather dries up by then because we are planning on bringing our bikes. Though, I am not minding the rain today – that way I don’t feel too sorry for myself while I am stuck inside cleaning our house for yet another showing tonight. Please, for the love, BUY OUR HOUSE! Can you tell my patience is running thin?? 😉

I thought I’d share a few of my thrifting finds from this week. Don’t you just love a successful treasure hunt? Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Happy Weekend!

Well, it’s Friday once again. The weather has finally been sunny for more than a day at a time in our little corner of the world and I am so thankful. It’s been nice getting out of the house for walks every day with my girl. We had yet another showing this morning (I’m beginning to sound like a broken record), and instead of finding somewhere to go, we just had a little picnic in the beautiful, grassy, park-like grounds of our complex. Since my house is now spotless, I am thinking some thrifting is in order for this afternoon!

Have a great weekend!

Around Here.

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely Easter long weekend. It has been pretty busy around here lately; we just put our house up for sale (again) and I am crossing my fingers it sells quickly! Mostly because I can’t fathom keeping my house clean for endless showings! Even though a baby doesn’t take up much space and we have been pretty good about not acquiring too many baby toys and accessories, it still feels as though we are quickly out growing our home. I think a big part of feeling that way is because I was home a lot more due to having a newborn in the winter. Some days it feels like the walls are closing in. So all I can say to that is, bring it on summer! I am so thankful for this warmer weather we have been having the last few days.

Another reason I have been scarce around here lately is because my baby girl suddenly went from sleeping 8-10 hour stretches at night (we even got a few 11 hour nights!), to 3-4hours at a time. I know I shouldn’t be complaining since she has been a champion sleeper since the day she was born, but if this is the new norm (please, God, no…), then it it going to take some getting used to.

Today.

Today my mom is babysitting this little doll so her mama can go thrift store shopping! And I couldn’t be more excited! Hopefully I will come home with some treasures. Wish me luck! I hope you all have a great Wednesday as well.

The Chairs that Got Away…

Vogue

Happy Monday everyone! I have a sad story for you this morning… I have been halfheartedly looking for some chairs for our living room for awhile now… halfheartedly, because we already have chairs but they aren’t very comfortable. We can’t seem to afford anything that I really want, so for now I just keep my eyes open at thrift stores and on Craigslist. Well, this weekend I was searching ‘chairs’ on Craigslist (because I also will need one for the baby’s room), and I found a pair of beautiful ones! And affordable! They sort of looked like the ones above, only the upholstery was white and the wood on the chairs was a bleached pine colour. Amazing, right? I emailed the lady right away and she said to give her a call at 2:00pm. Well, I already had plans to go to the lake with Dustin and a friend that day, so I just programed her number in my phone and off we went. I must have been having a really good time because I only remembered to call at 3:30 as I was blissfully floating in the water. I quickly swam to shore to call her but alas, they were already gone! I was really bummed, especially because I think I was the first one to contact her, so if I had just remembered to call, they could’ve been mine. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I guess that’s the nature of the hunt. So the search for great chairs continues… Have you ever let a great find ‘get away’?

Here are some other chairs I would be happy to find at a thrift store or on Craigslist…
