Red Brick Barn.

Whew! This week just flew by! I feel like I say that every Friday… but it’s true. Especially lately, as I have been a busy bee getting ready for the Scout Market coming up. Only a week away! Yikes! I hope you all can make it out. There are some great vendors (as usual). It’s going to be a great day of vintage and handmade shopping – not to mention supporting local businesses!

I thought I would leave you with an adorable red brick barn. And it’s available to rent! Too bad it’s all the way in Australia, otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat. I love the fresh, simple European feel to it.

Well, I hope you all have a great long weekend! I am not sure if the sun is going to hold out but it will be nice to get some relaxing in anyway. We have another couple of showings this weekend… I think we are getting close to selling this place! Cross your fingers for us! See you next week!

A DIY Home.

Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but wow, that week went by fast! A couple nights ago, Dustin and I went on a spontaneous date night without Wren. Dinner and then groceries… my, how the times have changed :). While in line at the grocery store, I decided to treat myself to the new Country Living Magazine. I was actually looking for this one, but they didn’t have it.

This North Carolina home was one of my favorite features in the magazine (you can see my other favorite one here). The owners have done a great job ‘DIY-ing’ their entire house on a budget. That’s my kind of house! From full on renovations, to building furniture, to decorating. And it looks great! I love all the white walls with the natural wood tones. So airy and light.

So, any fun plans for the weekend? We are having an open house on Sunday afternoon so we will have to find somewhere to escape for a few hours… I am thinking maybe some treasure hunting? We will see. Have a great weekend all!

Pop of Colour.

Ever since seeing the above kitchen with the brightly painted pocket door, I have been a little obsessed with neutral or white interiors with a pop of colour. How fun and unexpected! I think it shows personality and that you don’t take decorating too seriously. After all, your home should make you happy, right?

I hope you are having a great week so far. I can’t believe it is almost the weekend again! I spent some time this week working on my booth for the Scout Market coming up (less than a month away!). I always feel a little better after I map out what my space will look like. I usually tape out the dimensions on the floor and then do a mock set up. It is a great way to visually see what I have and what things I still need to be on the look out for. It is also encouraging when a natural theme emerges. I am excited about how it is shaping up! Hope you have a great day!

Wentworth Falls Cottage.

Phew! It’s Friday, finally. I had great intentions of blogging every day this week but… that didn’t exactly happen. I am still figuring out this whole motherhood thing. Every day seems to be a bit of an unpredictable adventure. Oh well, we’ll get the hang of it soon enough. I did want to share this adorable country cottage with you though. I love all the vintage elements. That table with the mix-matched chairs, the floral oil paintings, and all the white dishes. And the little playhouse?! Swoon.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I will hopefully be back on Monday… but no promises!

Hello Again!

Well, I am still alive… and also still pregnant. Today is the first of my 2 due dates (although I think the second one, January 1st, is more accurate).  Obviously, I guess, since still no baby today. I won’t be too surprised if I end up going overdue – I think she might just need a little more time in there. I am trying my best to be patient; although it never was one of my virtues. I just can’t wait to hold her in my arms instead of in my belly, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I thought I would pop in to say hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are rested and have full bellies from all that turkey and pie! My Christmas was pretty uneventful but full nonetheless. It has been so wonderful just taking a break and spending some much needed time with family and friends. My blogging schedule probably won’t go back to ‘normal’ for a while as I spend most of my time cuddling my daughter (hopefully soon!) and trying my best to get the hang of being a first time mommy. But I will be popping in from time to time and before long I should have a new schedule figured out.

I just thought I’d share with you this gorgeous Japanese home that has been inspiring me lately. It’s warm, simple and unexpected. Just the way I like it.
