Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good, although I came down with the flu and it’s still hanging around today. I am going to try to spend as much time in my bed today as is possible with an active 4 month old. I am only wishing my bed looked like this one. I’ll be back tomorrow with a few lovely things.

I know it’s only 9:30am, but there is nothing I would like more than to crawl into that very inviting bed. But, alas, my booth at this market is not going to plan itself! Off to work I go! Have a lovely day!
Happy Friday everyone! Man, am I glad this week is almost over. It wasn’t a terrible week or anything, just really busy and I feel like my body thinks it’s in the first trimester of pregnancy again. I have been so extremely tired. Previously, I was feeling super great, so I think I kinda overdid it this week. I have to remind myself that I do, in fact, still have a baby inside of me and what is a productive day now, probably will look a little different than what a productive day looked like pre-pregnancy. It’s a learning curve for sure. But feeling those little kicks makes it all worth it.
This is a short post, as I still have a lot to do before it’s the weekend for me. I just wanted to share this bedroom I came across. Something about it really draws me in. I love that it is fairly masculine but it still manages to appeal to me. The bed and the lamps are both streamlined and elegant, not overtly feminine, but definitely not ‘man-cave-ish’. I love the warm, muted colour scheme and that tree picture is beautiful, no?

Let’s talk headboards. I love that there are so many different creative options these days. From ornate architectural pieces to reclaimed doors, tailored upholstered pieces to simple wooden pallets – you can use practically anything you want! I like it when people use things that aren’t intended to be used as a headboard… thinking outside of the box is usually a good thing when it comes to personalizing your home decor. It show personality and a glimpse into who you are!
I am a bit all over the place when it comes to my personal preferences here (as is usually the case) – I just like so many of these styles that I find it hard to choose! The headboard I have right now is a vintage ornate carved piece I found at Value Village a few years ago for $20! I love it and I think it was quite the steal. It is painted a glossy black right now, but I am considering changing it to white soon – I can always paint it back!
How about you? Is your headboard a showstopper? Do you prefer the tailored upholstered look, or something more DIY and unique?

Sorry about yesterdays silence. I was super busy and the day just sort of got away from me. Unfortunately today I am feeling a little under the weather and all I want to do is stay in a gloriously comfy bed all day… it also wouldn’t hurt if it looked like any of these…
